Doctoral Support and Networking

The LANGSCAPE network endeavours to support doctoral candidates working and researching in the field of plurilingualism, language education and language learning.

Doctoral workshops and colloquia are routinely integrated into our international plurilingual conferences. Additionally, LANGSCAPE provides opportunities for further exchange during summer/winter schools and expert seminars.

Furthermore, our network actively encourages bilateral PhD opportunities (co-tutelle/bi-lateral supervision) between LANGSCAPE members to facilitate studies in plurilingual contexts on PhD level.

From September 2018 until August 2021, LANGSCAPE will carry out the dedicated project ENROPE aiming to engage doctoral students and junior researchers working in the field of in multi- and plurilingualism in professional reflection and the development of a researcher's identity that is sensitive to the manyfold contexts of multilingualism and language teaching and learning within Europe and beyond. The project has won a three-year grant in the Strategic Partnerships funding line of the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union.

The current directors for Doctoral Support and Networking are Prof. Dagmar Abendroth-Timmer and Dr. Jose Aguilar.
